Beach Hut Life

The Beach

The Beach Hut Seafood Kitchen is all about seafood and local produce. We are located on Forelands Beach, Bembridge, Isle of Wight. A rugged tidal beach NE of the Isle of Wight, dog friendly all year round. Our beach is made up of rocks, shingle and sand. Look out to sea and at low tide you will see the famous Bembridge Ledge, an outcrop of low lying rocks which curve round the bay. Sit and watch our brave RNLI and Coastguard teams as they pass by on the water or in the air. Watch the local fishermen go out to sea for upto 18 hours to bring back catches such as fresh lobster, crab and seabass. Whenever you come, the beach will be waiting.

Seaside walks

Walk along the beach and take snaps of the shanty style, colourful privately owned beach huts often featured in magazines such as Coast. Coming on foot - we are a short walk round from the RNLI Lifeboat station. Or follow the coastal path from Bembridge Marina or over Culver from Sandown. Tickle crabs from the rockpools, walk the dog and let the kids play or scavenge for rustic treasure of driftwood and shells.

Outdoors

We are a seasonal outdoor café. Our season tends to be March to September, but we are weather led. Due to our outdoor location we operate on dry sunny days Thursday to Monday, 11am – 5pm. However please do call to check on 07832 127737 if unsure or follow us on our social media for regular updates.

Weather

We are an outdoor venue open to all the elements the weather throws at us. Which means we do tend to close if the weather is inclement. From rain to thick fog, high winds or gales, we get it all! Please call our mobile for any closure updates on 07832 127737. Ps. we make our decisions based on the BBC 6pm Local Weather each day. It does mean sometimes we wake up to sun when the forecast has said rain!
